VALERIA MANGANI “Fashion is my passion, women are my mission”

Born in Johannesburg (South Africa), Valeria Mangani trained academically in Fashion Design, Art History and Precious. She is the author of 10 best-selling books on well-being and quality of life for Natura & Salute, Tecniche Nuove, Milan.

In 2020 she constitutes the Sustainable Fashion Innovation Society, an association that aims to enhance fashion, production sustainability and innovation of the connected supply chain, both in reference to the national and international reality, with particular attention to the problems of work, information, ethics and bioethics referring to the family and equal opportunities.

Since 2019 she is Delegate IAW – International Alliance of Women (international NGO founded in 1904) which incorporates 55 member organizations involved in the promotion of women’s rights and women empowerment at the United Nations institutions. Accredited to FAO for the CSM Forum – Civil Society Mechanism, CFS Committee for Food Safety. IAW is recognized and has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and participates in the Council of Europe, the Arab League and the African Union.

Since 2017 she has been the founder and CEO of Made in Italy Luxury, a platform for the internationalization of handmade luxury of Made in Italy and for the introduction of SMEs in high-spending niche markets.

Exclusive manager of the Italian pavilion at the Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition at the Doha Convention Center, Qatar.

For six years (2009-2015) vice-president of AltaRoma SpA, a joint-stock consortium company that manages Italian high fashion. In 2000 he started the fashion week. He deals with the internationalization of Made in Italy and the scouting of emerging stylists with the international competition “Who’s On Next”, organized with Vogue Italia. His scouting for Stella Jean, now the first player of ethical fashion. In 2012-2015, representing Italian high fashion, she was invited to participate in two government missions (Monti Government in UAE and Renzi Government in China, at the Beijing Business Forum).

From 2008 to 2013 Director of External Relations of the Mayor of Rome Capital and Director of Institutional Relations of IBAC-International Business Advisory Council, a congress wanted by Sir Martin Sorrell (CEO WPP), composed of 50 CEOs of the leading multinationals in the world.

In 2011 he proposed and oversaw the worldwide launch of the Lamborghini Aventador in the Campidoglio in the presence of the Mayor of Rome and the President of Automobili Lamborghini spa. In 2013 he organized the worldwide launch of the Veneno Roadster from the port of Abu Dhabi aboard the Cavour aircraft carrier, coordinating the logistics between Automobili Lamborghini, the Italian Navy, ICE, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Embassy in the UEA.

From 2013 to 2014 lecturer at the Master of Intercultural Communication of Tourism and Fashion at the Department of Foreign Languages, Literature and Cultures, RomaTre University.

From 2008 to 2010 lecturer at the Master for Quality of Life, Faculty of Occupational Medicine at the University of Rome La Sapienza, Course of: “Technology of fabrics in the workplace, When Science meets Fashion”.

She is a founding member of prestigious honor committees, has chaired juries, awards and fashion clusters, favoring the continuous protection and well-being of women and their physical and cultural integrity.

She participates in numerous international events as a guest speaker.

She has published 10 books that see her as the best-selling author for the Natura & Salute series, published by Tecniche Nuove SpA.
