We chose to support One TR1BE, the climate action platform that engages sustainable companies and their communities to make a positive environmental impact. JOIN THE SOCIETY PROTECT ANOTHER 25 TREES Equivalent to 1.25 acres saved, approximately 500 square meters preserved, storing about 12.3 tons of CO2.
Biodiversity
Over 500 species of terrestrial mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians face imminent extinction, with fewer than 1,000 individuals of these species surviving in the wild. Tropical rainforests cover only 8% of the planet’s surface but are home to over 50% of the world’s species, many of which are critically endangered. The reserves established by our conservation partners over the past 30 years have provided safe havens for 296 endangered and vulnerable mammal species and 456 at-risk and vulnerable bird species.
Indigenous communities
Rainforests are home to thousands of Indigenous communities that depend on the forests for their food, water, and economic prosperity. Many of these communities and their forests are threatened by illegal logging, mining, oil and gas extraction, and agriculture. Our conservation partners work with trusted local NGOs to protect these forests by designating them as Community Reserves or National Parks. Conservation partners have also helped Indigenous communities in Latin America secure legal land ownership rights to their ancestral lands, enabling these communities to manage their forest resources more sustainably.

Tropical deforestation accounts for up to 15% of net global carbon emissions annually—the same as every car, truck, bus, plane, ship, and train on the planet combined.
For this reason, Sustainable Fashion Innovation Society firmly believes that safeguarding existing rainforests is one of the most efficient and cost-effective ways to combat climate change, as each acre safely stores over 100 tons of carbon that could otherwise enter the atmosphere as CO2 greenhouse gases.
Studies have shown that stopping tropical deforestation and enabling regrowth could mitigate up to 50% of net global carbon emissions over the next 30 years, yet rainforests are still being cut down at a rate of 70,000 acres per day.
To date, the reserves of One Tribe’s conservation partners have protected over 18 billion trees and stored over 4.1 billion tons of CO2 equivalents, helping protect our planet from further climate change.
TR1BE’s climate action partners for forest conservation are some of the most respected and successful conservation charities in the world. They collaborate with trusted local NGOs and Indigenous communities to save the world’s most threatened rainforests and tropical ecosystems. They have been protecting rainforests for over 30 years and have already permanently safeguarded more than 24 million acres of endangered habitat.
